Examination of governance and funding for major new projects and institutional change
Analysis of issues confronted by transportation managers and assisting them with the market, technology, operations analysis, human resources, and financial improvements to achieve their organization objectives
Development and application of financial analysis models to perform capital project financial planning, focusing on multi-year sources and uses of funds analysis and debt financing
Financial and management analysis including innovative finance, public-private partnerships, and strategic and business planning
Development and application of operating and maintenance cost models, including development and application of cost allocation strategies for intercity rail, high-speed rail, and transit clients
Support for grant management and grant programming by transit and rail clients
Extensive contact with client staff, including senior management; governing boards; and elected officials; (8) Report writing and presentation of findings; (9) Contribution to overall engagement profitability and performance
Delivery of timely and quality services that meet or exceed team manager’s and client’s expectations
Participation in professional organizations relevant to the transportation or financial analysis sector
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as engineering, accounting, economics, finance, management, planning, or applied mathematics
2 plus years of similar experience in management or financial analysis or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Skills in one or more of the following:
understanding and insights in the fields of urban transportation planning
transit management and operations
rail management and operations
budget development, and cost allocation principles
Experience with quantitative analysis tools and presenting deliverable products to clients in both written and oral form
Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Masters degree in a related field such as engineering, accounting, economics, finance, management, planning, or applied mathematics
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to adapt/respond to changes in client expectations
