Job Summary

Perform Testing, Adjusting, and Balance (TAB) and commissioning services on commercial HVAC systems using specialized testing equipment, software and NEBB balancing procedures.

Minimum Requirements

AB Engineer shall perform responsibilities during all phases of the project lifecycle including.

  • Design, Construction, and Post-Occupancy.

  • Reviews HVAC design and contract documents for balancing and commissioning of HVAC systems using established NEBB procedures.

  • Perform construction site inspections to examine the installation and construction of HVAC systems, reviews construction schedule and provides input regarding durations and activities, coordinate closely with other construction trades such as Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Automation Contractors, communicates with Client, CM, and Commissioning personnel as required.

  • Collect, tabulate, and document system test data and make field observations.

  • Communicate any deficiency or recommendations to supervisor and client continuously throughout the project and at wrap up of all projects.

  • Analyze system performance for compliance with construction documents.

  • Maintain TAB equipment at all times.

  • Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

AA/AS (US) + 2 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 2 YORE or HS/GED + 4 YORE
