We are actively seeking a talented Electrical Engineer for immediate employment in our Arlington, VA office.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignements.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design
elements for engineering works.
Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience to include 1+ years overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of small to mid-size projects
FE certification by test and the ability to obtain his professional engineering registration within one year
Must have a broad general knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems for typical buildings and large campus facilities
Understanding of Electrical power systems for commercial, Government, Department of State, and/or institutional facilities, this includes an understanding of electrical system load and short circuit analysis
Understanding of Lighting and lighting control systems for commercial, Government and institutional facilities, this includes familiarity with Lighting calculations, occupancy control, and application of state of the art materials to projects
Familiarity with the National Electric Code, NFPA and the Life Safety Codes
Displayed ability to execute complete, accurate and coordinated project design assignments on time and within budget
Understands overall project constraints including design budget limitations and schedule requirements
Interact and communicate effectively with other team members and disciplines. Effective written and verbal communication skills a must
Working knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD, including a minimum of one significant assignment on a project using REVIT
Proficient with MS office suite of products including Work , Excel, Power Point and MS Project
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
