AECOM's Environment Business Line is currently seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The appropriately qualified candidate will join a multidisciplinary, collaborative multinational team focused on delivery of superior services to our clients. This is a challenging position for a self-motivated, responsible individual with good communication and problem-solving skills. The position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Support AECOM projects in the areas of contaminated sediments, soil and groundwater remediation, environmental compliance, and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG)/Sustainability initiative.
Work with senior level staff to provide technical analysis and deliverables for current and prospective clients for remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, remedial action, fate and transport modeling, innovative sampling approaches, etc.
Planning and directing field activities for data collection, and data management.
Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, contractors, engineering consultants, academia, and external agencies.
Engage in internal Technical Practice Groups, coordinate with company’s regional and national experts and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering or related field. and (4) four years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education
(MS/PhD) degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering in lieu of experience
Ability to acquire professional registration.
Understanding of bioaccumulation models, fate and transport analysis, developments in sampling techniques, carbon capture and climate change concepts.
Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Willingness to travel, complete field work, and work extended hours, when necessary.
