Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a technology transition and sustainment specialist to provide support and leadership to the DHS S&T transition integrated product team (IPT) in support of multiple DHS programs and the operational and technical IPTs. Technology Transition and Sustainment support services to DHS S&T’s Integrated Maritime Domain Enterprise (IMDE) - Coastal Surveillance System (CSS) program and Border and Coastal Information System (BACIS) program. Specifically, the candidate will provide support services to the Transition Integrated Product Team (IPT) and DHS S&T IMDE/CSS and BACIS Program Management Offices. Furthermore, the candidate will coordinate transition related activities with the respective Operational IPTs and Technical IPTs supporting IMDE/CSS and BACIS programs. The position will be located within the Washington D.C. region with periodic travel to Washington DC for meetings.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Transition processes and documentation

  2. Program configuration management

  3. Business Case Analysis

  4. Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Execution (PPBE)

  5. Facilitation of meetings

  6. Programs’ Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) management

Minimum Requirements

  • 7 to 10-years’ of relevant experience in facilitation, Joint Program Management, or other Joint Acquisition experience demonstrating the ability to develop common understanding and purpose among a diverse set of stakeholders.

  • 5 to 8-years’ of relevant experience working rapid development and transition projects

  • 3 to 5 years’ or relevant experience developing/updating Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Configuration Management Procedures and Documentation

  • Position requires an active Secret clearance and must be able to pass DHS entry of duty (EOD) requirements

  • Position may require travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field

  • 10-years’ of relevant experience in Technology Transition and Sustainment assessment and analysis

  • 3 to 5-years’ of relevant experience working with DHS Components

  • 5-years’ of relevant experience in PPBE (budget development, submission, and execution at 3rd echelon or higher)

  • 5-years’ of relevant experience acquiring commercial and/or Government Information Technology (IT) systems

  • Active Top Secret clearance
