AECOM has a new opportunity for a Quality Representative at our Annapolis Junction, MD location. The QR must interpret and implement quality assurance / quality control standards and the following:
Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
Implement the efficiency and effectiveness of quality and inspection systems.
Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
Collect and compile statistical quality data.
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers.
Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Monitor risk management activities.
Responsible for document management systems.
Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
Conduct daily inspections and generate reports on findings.
Conduct offsite inspections.
Ensure contractors are following quality specifications for onsite and offsite testing and installations.
Hold quality meetings with subcontractors.
Report to upper management and/or client representatives on the status of the quality program on the project.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
8 years of progressive experience in construction as a quality assurance quality control representative specifically in the USACE and/or NAVFAC 3 phase system.
Candidate must be hands on, open to suggestions and erudition.
10 years of progressive experience in construction as a quality assurance/quality control and inspection representative, specifically in the USACE and/or NAVFAC 3 phase system.
Proficient knowledge in Lean, Lean Six Sigma methodology and metric management. Ability to manage supply chain subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
The candidate must process skills dealing with deadlines, schedules and strict protocols.
Must have knowledge of software conducive to daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
Proficient in Q1Macros and or Minitab.
Certifications including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma.
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction, Engineering, or Quality.
Quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience.
Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.
Product or industry-specific experience.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, QA applications, and databases.
Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
