Job Summary

AECOM provides Project Management services in Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management with a focus on safety and operational excellence to local and international Clients in The Netherlands. We are currently looking for a Project Manager Construction Services to become part of a growing AECOM Benelux Construction Services team with offices in The Netherlands and Belgium.

In the role of Project Manager you act as a single point of contact, maintaining communications and Client confidence. Your goal is to deliver projects to time, cost and quality standards. Also you will:

  • Manage the end to end project delivery in design, procurement and construction stage.

  • Manage the project scope in line with Client and project Stakeholder requirements.

  • Manage package contractors.

  • Plan and lead Project Meetings to deliver the project. For example, design reviews; tender meetings; cost plan reviews; planning meetings, pre-start meetings; regular site progress meetings; handovers; financial close meetings; and safety audits

  • Ensure that work is delivered within the agreed values of AECOM and the client

  • Maintain project admin and records.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for operational delivery of industrial projects, office refurbishment and fit-out works.

  • Frequent travel and time split between working on the Client sites/offices, the AECOM office and home.

  • Show a strong track record in operational delivery of HSSE processes and communication

  • Strong management and leadership skills to manage Client wants, motivate and engage with design and contractor teams

  • Manage the delivery of projects to the programme

  • Manage the delivery of projects within agreed budgets

  • Engage and manage project stakeholder

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in an Project Management or Operational Role

  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills are required

  • A leading example in compliance and ethics

  • HSSE commitment

  • Confident and capable individual with strong Client / stakeholder focus

  • Recognized construction or design qualifications

  • Experienced in managing a diverse operational teams

  • Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment

  • Ability to work under pressure to tight dead-lines

  • Experienced with MS Projects and excellent in Excel/Word/Powerpoint

  • Full Driving Licence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience

  • Management qualification

  • Construction Management experience
