AECOM Plumber in Alice Springs, Australia

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a full time, fixed term position (3 years) in the role of Plumber at their Alice Springs office, with the possibility of extension.
Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Team Leader, in this role you will perform maintenance; repair and renovation work in residential, office and industrial facilities. This includes water and wastewater systems, drains, waste and vent piping, underground water and wastewater piping, backflow devices and LPG and Natural Gas systems.
Work is performed at residential properties as well as other facilities in the town of Alice Springs. Occasional overtime and callouts will be required.
This role is being offered as a 3 year, fixed-term contract based in the Alice Springs, working 40 hours per week. AECOM offer reasonable relocation and other support.
Trade Qualification – Cert IV in Plumbing and Services
Current Drivers Licence
Ability to work within a team environment
Ability to work professionally with minimal supervision
Good interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
Good communication skills – verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete assigned tasks
Demonstrated ability to identify and analyse issues and develop solutions to problems
Certifying Plumber with Building Practitioners Board
Restricted Electrical Licence
Training in appropriate safety procedures (i.e. Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights,
Electrical Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, Lockout/Tagout, Working in Trenches etc.)
Strategic with proven project management skills
This role is suited to an individual with a strong customer service focus, who thrives on a fast-paced and busy environment.
Please note – as part of this role you are required to hold an Australian Government NV1 Security clearance or have the ability to gain one. Drug and alcohol testing may also be required.
