Job Summary

AECOM has an opportunity for a Facilities Architect supporting our program in Alice Springs, Australia. The Architect leads new design efforts for building improvements and building expansion, coordinates designs with site engineers and prepares design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports and cost estimates.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support program in providing necessary space planning, engineering, and construction support to include all operations space and out buildings.

  • Review and approve conceptual designs.

  • Responsibility over designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, working drawings and specifications.

  • Prepare design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports and cost estimates.

  • Lead new design efforts for building improvements and building expansion.

  • Coordinate designs with site engineers to meet Statement of Work (SOW) requirements.

  • Maintains architectural/engineering files and records in accordance with SOW requirements and site standards.

  • Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements.

  • Performs other reasonable duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • TS/SCI security clearance is required.

  • BA or BS in Architecture.

  • 10+ years of architectural experience is required.

  • Must be licensed as a registered Architect.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD release 2014

  • Proficient in use of Archibus software.

  • Proficient with MS Office suite of applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Requires a diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in United States codes and standards especially Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active, fully adjudicated TS/SCI w/poly is preferred.

  • Professional affiliation with the American Institute of Architects or the Society of American Registered Architects is preferred.
