Position Title Electrical Engineer

AECOM has a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer on one of our projects near Alice Springs. This is an O&M program for a mission critical customer responsible for the facilities operation and maintenance services to include construction, power generation, warehousing, medical support, temporary quarters, transportation systems, environmental health and safety, security, information technology, housing, as well as all aspects of maintaining and repairing the site and its ancillary buildings.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the management, oversight and planning for engineering design, procurement, and construction or modifications to the installation that affect the performance of critical mission systems. This individual will approve and manage red line drawing, SOW’s and ROM’s for proposed engineering solutions and modifications to the installation. They will establish and maintain an engineering technical library and like informational repositories.
The System Engineer is responsible for the successful operation and planning associated with program related configuration management, project/construction management, recapitalization planning and engineering related functions.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance with the potential to obtain full TS(PV) Security Clearance if required.
Ability to engineer and design an electrical system from generation to rack mounted equipment.
Must have a thorough understanding of SCADA systems and Building Management Systems.
Minimum of 15 years of experience which shall include mechanical and electrical systems, working with the government, working in a secure atmosphere, experience in data centres (power and cooling), configuration management experience and knowledge and experience with the Uptime Institute, SCADA and building management systems.
Must be able to design packages and be a self-contained engineer.
Experience with instrumental control.
Prior DOD and OCONUS Facilities experience is a strong plus.
Knowledge and experience with SAP is preferred.
Professional licensed engineer (CPEng) in Electrical Engineering preferred.
MP and Lean Six Sigma Certifications preferred.
