Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented DOE Program Manager / Client Account Manager to oversee a growing suite of existing contracts and clients. The candidate is to be based in one of the following offices: Denver, CO; Santa Fe, NM; Kansas City, MO; Colorado Springs, CO; Oakland, CA; Chicago, IL; Albuquerque, NM; Richland, WA, but will be expected to travel to specific DOE job sites periodically for possibly extended periods of time.
Job Summary/Responsibilities
AECOM is seeking an experienced Program Manager for this exciting opportunity to oversee the long-term management and growth of our Department of Energy portfolio. The selected candidate will take over an existing portfolio of large capacity multi-year contracts, work with business line leadership to develop and lead a dedicated project management team, oversee multiple project task orders from an executive level, develop and track pipeline and oversee compliance with regulatory and company standards, regulations, and quality assurance programs.
Required responsibilities for the DOE Program Manager include a proven track record of:
Managing and leading federal projects and programs ideally for the Dept. of Energy.
Experience building and leading successful program management teams.
Close successful collaboration with DOE Tier 1 contractors and other stakeholders.
Familiarity with NQA-1 and ISO 9001 Quality Assurance programs.
Managing and directing professional and technical staff to complete complex architectural and engineering projects.
Achieving contractual performance and financial milestones across the lifespan of multiyear / multitask order contracts.
Manages aspects of a program such as oversight of project managers, oversight of project controls or similar.
Provides direction and oversight to AECOM staff and subcontractors.
Generally has task and project management experience, including successful completion of several large projects.
Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management
Analyzes financial statements and completes budget tracking
Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to internal regional and Buildings + Places management
Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies
Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team
Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement
DOE business development
Oversee and develop technical approaches and cost estimates for proposals
Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills
Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences
Prepare, coordinate and conduct project meeting: Prepare and maintain the agenda and the meeting minutes
Help develop and maintain project schedule, project budget and risk register
Review Design Documents and Coordinate Design reviews with various stakeholders
Manages more complex projects that tend to be larger in scope and dollar.
Increasing responsibility for leadership of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
At least 10 year on experience managing project
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Valid Driver’s License Required
Drug testing will be required for this position
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of related experience
Graduate Degree in an Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management field
Familiarity with DOE sites, missions, and cultures
Experience with Federal research, science and technology related facilities
PPM / CCM certification
Licensed PE or RA
Ability to work in Fast-paced environment and Coordinate with multiple stakeholde
Ability to communicate at a high level with senior leaders within AECOM and/or the client's organization

Hybrid work schedule will be considered for this position.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $150,000- $220,000.
