Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Construction Manager for immediate employment in the Albany NY area. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging project within our Power and Energy sector partnering with major Utility companies in all regions we support

This is a sourcing requisition for future opportunities

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Work with Program Manager/Project Manager to problem solve construction related issues on project sites

  • Performs tasks including client/project development, resource management, and supervision management of construction management activities as they relate to contract administration, cost management, project management, quality management, construction safety management, time management

  • Assist in managing and coordinating preliminary sites or building analysis for construction projects

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science Degree – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical from an accredited school

  • 8+ years of construction management including 7 years project management

  • Must be prepared to assume the Resident Construction Manager Role in his/her absence

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong negotiation skills

  • Excellent written communications required; internal and external correspondents and progress reports

  • Must be aware of changes and advancements in the industry, and develop industry-wide expertise

  • Strong process knowledge of state-of-the-art construction techniques

  • Ability to manage diverse projects involving integration of construction into different operating systems and various utilities in the state

  • knowledge of various utilities policies and procedures as well as industry wide practices and safety regulations

  • Demonstrated ability to view tasks logically, break them down into essential requirements, and generate a solution to meet project goals

  • Ability to investigate what is not intuitive, anticipate problems and field construction

Preferred Qualifications

  • New York State PE License - preferred

  • Project Management professional certification is preferred
