Job Summary

Savannah River Remediation, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a Limited Service Employee (LSE) Associate Design Specialist - Electrical to be based in our Aiken, SC location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and issues CADD drawings for fabrication, installation, and testing.

  • Works with other Engineers and Designers to prepare designs, including conceptual sketches and layouts.

  • Prepares As-Built drawings at the completion of construction activities.

  • Works with designers in other disciplines to coordinate designs.

  • Reviews and checks design drawings for discrepancies and for compatibility with engineered equipment, and provides comments and recommendations.

  • Performs field inspections to locate existing systems and equipment, verify as-built conditions, and determine best approach for modifications.

  • Participates in resolving construction issues and Design Change Requests by modifying existing design within procedural guidelines and design requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma.

  • Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Drafting.

  • 5+ years combination of secondary education and/or related work experience.

  • Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, industry and regulatory requirements, design criteria, and applicable codes, Proficiency in Microstation V8 CADD software.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Able to perform walk downs in the field.

  • Continued training in new technology and industry standards.
