Position Title Chemical Engineer 1

AECOM is seeking a
Chemical Engineer to be based in our Aiken, SC location.
Perform design, development or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision.
Develop engineering analyses, models, and calculations.
Develop engineering technical reports supporting the operation of nuclear facilities.
Assist in the preparation of nuclear safety documentation and correspondence.
Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications/descriptions.
Interface with customers in hazards analyses, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
From Zero (0) to One (1) year work experience, post-graduation, in an engineering setting.
Candidate must be eligible to obtain a DOE Q clearance and access to Commercial Nuclear Facilities.
Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
Solid analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to perform engineering calculations and models.
Creative problem solving.
Ability to meet challenging deadlines.
Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Candidate must be able to travel on business as needed.
Candidate must be open to relocation away from the area should the need arise.
Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
- Some work experience at a DOE Facility is a plus.
