As a result of a significant project pipeline, AECOM’s Christchurch Structures team is looking to grow to meet our workload demand. Working with an enthusiastic and driven Structures team, you will support a range of building related projects for a broad range of clients on local, regional and national projects. There may well be options to work on international projects should you be interested.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle - from preparing proposals and presenting to clients, through to managing resources and budgets to ensure timely project delivery. You will collaborate with teams across our business lines and technical disciplines, and provide support to our junior engineers.

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in building structures, ideally in a consultancy
Tertiary qualification in structural engineering
Excellent knowledge and competency in structural building specification and design
Demonstrated skills in managing projects (or components of) and budgets to meet time and resource requirements
Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Clear and concise verbal and written communication
Solid experience with NZ codes, including seismic design and assessment
- Chartered status is highly desirable
