Job Description
Delivers discipline involvement in projects and ensures effective delivery input of others. Includes design development, design review, supervision, coordination, design documentation and contract administration.Coordinates small - mid size project teams of discipline-led engineers.Expereince on large, internationally recognisedPerforms specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.Attends client meetings as technical support and to gather information and discuss project requirements and maintains client relationships.Participates in the development and preparation of bids and proposals.Provides Geotechnical input to studies and design.Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by self and others.Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables, including BIM spatial reviews (virtual walkthroughs and clash detection).Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.Prepares technical specification sections.Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.Coordinates with authorities for approvals.Solves problems encountered by using knowledge, innovation and modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.Performs technical quality reviews of design calculations, BIM models and drawings including documentation in project record by adhering to quality, occupational health and safety and corporate standards.Maintains and develops the highest level of technical skills and abilities. Use Common Data Environment (CDE) for information exchange. Pricing and managing budget/schedule for digital/BIM tool usage. Provide workflow guidance of BIM best practices.Participates in client design progress and coordination meetings, discuss project requirements, explain/ defend work, etc.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
SpecificExperience
Undertaking work to AAHSTO, Eurocodes and British Standards
Experience with a wide range of Geotechnical Investigation techniques and ensuring they are undertaken to the highest standard
Experience with the design of various geotechnical structures like shallow foundations, deep foundations, retaining walls, excavations, dewatering, and ground improvement.Experience with geotechnical design software like Slope/W, SEEP/W, Plaxis 2D, Repute and Group. Experience with Plaxis 3D or similar would be an advantage
Experience with various types of geotechnical construction activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited University in one or more of the following subjects and a Master of Science / Engineering or PhD would be preferred.
