About the Business Line
We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design.
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technical Leader for immediate employment in the Winnipeg, Manitoba office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical leadership and identify improvements within the Winnipeg Mechanical Group in the areas of Quality Assurance and Project Delivery
Provide Heavy Industrial and Mining technical expertise to the Winnipeg B+P Group, and other B+P Groups and Business Lines in Western Canada
Provide Project Management for new and existing clients for the Winnipeg B+P Group
Provide Program Management of new and existing market sectors for the Winnipeg B+P Group and other Winnipeg Business Lines
Verify that mechanical deliverables comply with applicable codes and standards, and in accordance with Quality Assurance policies
Provide mentoring to staff in the Winnipeg B+P Group
Provide strategic planning support to the Winnipeg B+P Group, other Winnipeg Business Lines, and other Western Canada B+P Groups
Assist the Operations Manager to identify and recruit staff to meet the needs of the Winnipeg B+P Group
Act as a Business Development leader for the Winnipeg B+P Group
Assist Business Development leaders in other Winnipeg Business Lines and other B+P offices in Western Canada
Develop a Heavy Industrial and Mining clientele within Manitoba, Western Canada and other parts of North America
Identify Business Development opportunities, act as Capture Manager and assist with proposal preparation on multidisciplinary pursuits
University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
13+ years of relevant work experience
Current Registration as a Professional Engineer in good standing with a provincial association in Canada
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Demonstrated experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams
Ability to work closely with other business lines, discipline leads, project managers and multi-disciplinary teams
Strong knowledge of local and national codes, standards, engineering criteria and mechanical engineering software
Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and have the ability to travel to client and/or construction sites
Experienced in managing Design Build (DB) and Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects
Proficient in Autodesk software and other analysis/design software
Member of ASHRAE
