Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a highly experienced Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer to join our long standing Nuclear division based in our Westlakes, Cumbria office.

Aecom has been providing multidisciplinary nuclear services for 35 years, working at the forefront of low carbon generation delivering practical and innovative designs to programme and budget. We are looking to grow our capabilities across our nuclear services function.

The successful candidate will be based in our Cumbria Office but will work closely with other teams from within our Business Unit located in Cumbria, Bristol, Edinburgh and London. The Power & Energy Business Unit is a multi-disciplinary team comprising Civil/Structural/ Mechanical/ Electrical and Process Engineers, together with Architects, Project Managers and Building Surveyors.

The Cumbria business comprises a vibrant team with strong opportunities for challenging project work and career progression within a growing team.

This is an interesting and challenging role within which you will be involved in leading the designs of, bespoke buildings and complex engineering solutions for decommissioning and new build facilities including associated infrastructure. The market sector covers nuclear, industrial, power and infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements

A relevant Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering within a consultancy environment

Chartered Engineer with relevant regulatory body

Preferred Qualifications

It would be a distinct advantage to have Nuclear experience due to the nature of the work we are involved in.
