Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Project Engineer for immediate employment at one of our client’s facilities in White Springs, Florida. This is a senior engineering position within the Power & Industrial Business Line for Florida with AECOM. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. Position is provided daily per diem.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Working at a Chemical Plant/Mining facility, and performing/managing projects such as mechanical projects, pipe systems, earthwork, drainage, grading, etc.

  • Responsible for all aspects of engineering and project management including design reviews, scopes of work development, solicitation of proposals, bid specs, estimating, scheduling, budgets, contractor management, invoice reviews, etc.

  • Verifying successful project implementation and completion

  • Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others

  • Participates in development of technical proposals

  • Provides engineering budget and schedule estimates and oversees technical resources to meet requirements on large projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • 10+ years’ experience including coordinating all technical and management aspects of small to mid-size projects

  • Strong leadership skills and teamwork skills

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver high quality and creative solutions in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry

  • Excellent communication skills – internal and client communications

  • Previous experience within industrial or mining industry or engineering/consulting industry

  • Proficiency in Primavera scheduling software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

  • Professional Engineering Certification for Florida (Florida PE License)

  • 10+ years of civil/mechanical/site engineering experience
