Position Title Project Manager Future Opportunity

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to be based at our White City, Saskatchewan location.
Actively participates in the collective preparation of comprehensive, accurate, and consistent industrial cost estimates for proposals for projects up to $10M.
Utilizes formal training and experience to provide technical expertise adhering to a clearly defined estimating process and ensures compliance to AECOM’s pre-determined process and procedures.
Interprets construction bid documents and technical drawings to identify engineering specifications, evaluates and estimates materials, manpower, schedule and budget.
Identifies risks and provides analysis with mitigation strategies.
Develops the initial project execution plan as per AECOM’s standards.
Develops and maintains project controls plan outlining methodologies and responsibilities while ensuring alignment with AECOM’s process and procedures.
Provides input to the initial project schedule.
Manages the manpower loading requirements by reviewing the bi-weekly manpower forecast and prioritizes labour loading based on project requirements and business priorities.
Works with the Functional Team Leads to align their functional plans and deliverables based on the project schedule.
Identifies unique quality or safety requirements.
Ensures staffing plans are developed and functional coverage is maintained for the project.
Identifies key project resources, and jointly with the Functional Managers develops succession plans for these people.
Provides leadership in the Safety Management System (SMS) within the project team. Leads monthly safety meetings and participates in regular site safety inspections.
Develops the project budget for direct, indirect and other costs based on estimates for identified project scope of work.
Utilizes AECOM’s GPDS (Gated Project Delivery System) and leads the project team through the gated project phases.
Works with the Contracts Function to manage the development of the contracting strategies, commercial terms for the project and finalizing the project contract.
Oversees the change management process and approval of all trends and change orders.
Prepares and/or reviews contract change notices.
Reviews and provides input into the project turnover strategy.
Reviews all performance indicators on a shift basis, and as part of the monthly construction and business operation reviews. Provides input and takes actions where required to meet targets.
Conduct review sessions on project status with Area Manager and/or Client and highlight adverse schedule and cost variances for corrective actions.
Manages project cash flows by analyzing revenue in excess and accounts receivables. Drives actions within the project to achieve project targets.
Responsible for project revenue and profitability under area of responsibility.
Approves and submits any invoice/timesheet expenses which have business unit expenditures to the appropriate projects.
Oversees preparation and delivery of the financial project closeout report.
Conducts lessons learned sessions at key milestones identified within the construction execution plan in order to drive continuous improvement of the project and processes.
Coordinate with and respond to queries from internal and external clients.

Minimum of College diploma/certificate required.
Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience required, within heavy construction.
Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification required
H2S Alive Certification required
Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA issued ticket) Certification required
First Aid Certification required
Aerial work platform (AWP) Certification required
PMP Certification required
This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory drivers abstract for review
Technical engineering diploma is an asset.
University Education within Engineering, Commerce or equivalent would be an asset.
Professional Management Certification and/or Professional Engineering Certification preferred.
Intermediate Computer Skills: Microsoft Project-Primavera.
Expert Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
