Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Business Development Field Representative to be based in our White City, Saskatchewan location.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and coordinates new business opportunities in the marketplace through continuous professional

  • contact with existing and/or new clientele and determines and/or assists in determining client long-range

  • need for services and/or capital expenditures.

  • Solicits qualified bid/proposal opportunities and evaluates client needs for bids and proposals and sells

  • appropriate services.

  • Seeks new markets for business development.

  • Assists in the development of the group, subsidiary and/or company sales program.

  • Coordinates the development of the proposal with planning, estimating and other appropriate departments.

  • May assist in proposal presentations and proposal strategy.

  • Maintains records of target area business development and project data to aid in coordination of all

  • marketing and operation plans.

Level Specific Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates a wide application of business development/sales principles, theories, and concepts plus working knowledge of other related disciplines such as marketing psychology.

  • Work is more complex and requires independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Is fully competent in most aspects of the job, uses considerable independent judgment and may assume occasional lead duties.

  • Provides creative solutions to a wide range of problems.

  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

A travel allowance is available for this position.

This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, marketing, or demonstrated equivalent.

Experience: 5 years of professional business development/sales experience. Specific industry related experience is highly desired.

Other: A valid Class 1 or Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are requirements of this position
