Job Summary

In response to the recent Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act, and the emergence of disruptive technologies in transportation systems, AECOM wants to significantly expand its role as a provider of professional and technical services to the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) and associated non-profit organizations such as the Transportation Research Board and the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials. We are seeking a Client Account Manager (CAM) to lead the growth of our business with these important clients. If you are a seasoned business developer, with proven experience in building Federal Transportation consulting and advisory business, then we encourage you to apply. This position must be based in Washington, DC. Key relationships and thorough understanding of USDOT contracting and federal advocacy networks is essential.

AECOM is a matrix-based organization. Our USDOT CAM will be a senior leader in our DC Metro Region organization, reporting directly to our DC Metro Transportation Business Unit Leader, and also indirectly, through our matrix organization, to our Americas CAM team leader for federal civilian agencies, and to our National Governments transportation practice leader. You will develop strategic account plans, be the ultimate decision maker regarding our approach to these clients, and lead teams to capture new business. Your performance will be measured primarily on business growth and your leadership behaviors.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 15+ years of related experience

  • Ability to lead a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field

  • Previous headquarters USDOT experience
