The Buildings and Places Division of AECOM is actively seeking an energetic, self-motivated, highly collaborative Interiors Architect to join its Washington, DC / Arlington, Virginia newly created Interiors Workplace Practice.

The candidate will participate on project teams through the planning, design, and execution of projects and will work with senior and junior designers, discipline leaders and project managers to develop creative solutions to a myriad of challenging project types. The candidate, in conjunction with the project team, will be responsible for implementation of the design, detailing and production of all phases of an Interiors project including programming, test fits, space plans, design development, construction documents, construction administration and furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) packages.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Architecture program
7+ years' experience
Licensed as a registered architect, preferably in the District of Columbia or Virginia
Strong technical skills and demonstrate experience in all phases of Interior Architecture and Interior Design project delivery
Strong communication, planning and collaboration skills, and be comfortable working both independently, in a team environment, and as a team leader on a variety of projects and tasks
Possess a diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices, use advanced techniques, and be responsible for finished plans, interior architecture detailing, specifications, systems and material selections and approvals
Proficient in a wide variety of production and visualization software including but not limited to: AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-Up, VRay or other visualization software, Adobe Suite, InDesign and Microsoft Office products
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
- LEED BD+C or ID+C preferred
