Job Summary

Currently to our Warsaw office we are looking for candidates for the PROJECT MANAGER position.


Client Relationship:

  • Promotes a client-centric culture across the project team

  • Regularly meets with client to confirm that client’s project expectations are satisfied

  • Responds to feedback and takes action as appropriate as a result of client feedback and surveys, including NPS

  • Effectively manages change with the client and the project team

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Prepares and executes the Project Plan during the Opportunity and Contracted phases, as outlined in Ecosystem project planning elements including: Scope & Approach, Deliverables Management, Resources, Procurement, Budget, Risk Management, Schedule, SH&E, Resilience, Stakeholders & Communication,

  • Contracts, Reviews, Change Management and Project Closeout

  • Understands and mitigates for project and business risk issues

  • Prepares for and participates in monthly project reviews; and executes resulting action items

  • Fosters capture and sharing of knowledge and lessons learned to support continuous improvement

Financial Management:

  • Guides and oversees the establishment of the project governance structure (budget, scope and schedule); reviews with P&L manager

  • Confirms that project EAC is current and accurately reflects the anticipated project financial outcomes

  • Manages project cash performance

  • Delivers the project at or above the margin as-sold/as-agreed with P&L Manager

Technical Management:

  • Assigns and manages excellent project technical outcomes for the client

  • Ensures execution of project deliverables consistent with the Project Plan

  • Actively participates in the PM Practice Group

Project Team Management:

  • Facilitates cross business line or inter-office work activities

  • Effectively manages project personnel and technical interfaces

  • Provides timely and effective guidance to project team members

  • Mentors project team members in furtherance of their professional development

  • Accurately determines skill sets needed to accomplish required tasks; identifies and assigns/procures internal and external project team members accordingly

  • Fosters positive project team morale

Business Development:

  • Leverages successful delivery of the project to secure further work opportunities with the client

  • Participates in the development of qualifications and commercially viable bid proposals

  • Engages in the development and presentation of client presentations and client interviews

  • Has knowledge and understanding of AECOM’s broad service offering, to enable selling across all businesses

PM Development:

  • Working with supervisor, responsible for developing and achieving goals consistent with stated competencies and behaviours and satisfying training and certification requirements

Minimum Requirements

For this role we require:

  • Technical University degree,

  • Construction licence,

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience:

  • Experience in both public sector and international consulting companies,

  • Experience as PM in contracts for Technical Assistance and for FIDIC based construction supervision,

  • Language proficiency:

*Polish – mother tongue

*English – conversational

  • Computer literacy (MS Office including MS Project),

  • Working knowledge of Polish Legislation related to investment process,

  • Good team playing, responsibility, opening to new challenges,

  • Ability to work under time pressures and to handle stressful situations,

  • Excellent negotiations and communication skills are mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Driving licence Cat. B,
