About the Business Line
We provide professional services in areas such as aviation, transit, freight rail, highways and bridges, planning, and ports and marine. Our global network of top-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries.
Currently we are looking for an experienced Discipline Director, Railways to join our team in Warsaw office. Your responsibilities:
Business Development in the railway area,
Daily leadership of our Railway teams across our 3 offices in Poland,
Operational planning at department level,
Financial forecasting & reporting at monthly intervals,
Managing the team against the basis of fees and costs,
Acting as a Bid and Project Director
Ensuring close collaboration of the existing business lines in order to deliver expected results,
Contributing to design development, design risks and their mitigation
Ensuring high health and safety standards,
Managing the cooperation with Subcontractors
Ensuring compliance with AECOM policies, including but not limited to: Delegation of Authorities, Health & Safety, project management, code of conduct.
For this Role we require:
Master degree in civil engineering
10-15 years of managerial experience within an international environment in a similar business to AECOM
Experience building successful long term client relationships & work winning
The appropriate level of technical expertise in order to fulfil the job accountabilities listed above:
Demonstrated ability to lead people and teams and inspire high levels of performance
Experienced in managing large and multi-disciplinary project teams
Experienced and confident in working with public procurement legislation and standards,
Ability to make decisions and take responsibility
Willingness to continuously improve skills and knowledge sharing
Developed negotiation skills
Presents full understanding of financial and operational KPIs
