About the Business Line
We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution.
AECOM is a partner company within the Parent Body Organisation which runs the closure contract Site Licence Company of Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd (DSRL). DSRL is responsible for the clean-up and demolition of Britain’s former centre of fast reactor research and development and operates under a sole contract with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Deputy Fuels Director Programme Integration for immediate employment. Incumbent is expected to will deputise for the Project Director Fuels in matters related to programme delivery and be responsible for programme planning/monitoring control/management and delivery to time, cost and quality.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Develop an effective organisation to manage and deliver the project specific baseline (circa £200M) scope to the required safety and environmental standards and quality procedures/ specifications.
Develop and execute programme management plans and strategies, including analysis of dependencies, programme risks and assumptions, optimising plans to respond to change as necessary
Development of the additional £200M flask loading and irradiated fuels project
Coordinate the integration of the programme with external bodies that are delivering components of the integrated programme.
Manage internal and external stakeholders and Regulator programme communication and reporting requirements.
Perform the responsibilities of Management Appointments relevant to the post
Lead staff as a senior manager
15 years Project Management, 10 years Nuclear/Industrial
Ability to lead a team from beginning through to completion
Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Science/Engineering Degree or equivalent qualifications plus experience
