The Senior Compensation Manager / Director will be responsible for providing strategic support to the design and development of complex compensation programs that support the business strategy across the globe. Requires deep subject matter expertise and experience leading projects. This highly visible role will work closely with HR business partners, corporate leaders, and business leaders across the organization in the development of base and variable pay programs. Key areas of focus include role specific and broad based variable pay programs, development of base pay salary structures outside the U.S. and the annual compensation cycle.
The Senior Compensation Manager / Director must be a proven, results-oriented project manager who will have experience partnering with HR business partners and management to assist with developing and driving comprehensive compensation strategies for the business. The ideal candidate will not only be well versed in the underlying data but also have the ability and experience in summarizing and reporting out to senior management. This role also requires building and managing relationships across a wide variety of client groups based on influence, execution-focus, teamwork, and business acumen.
This position can be located in any of the following offices:

Develop a comprehensive understanding of business issues and priorities; effectively analyze and diagnose problems; provide clear advice and recommendations to help client make sound business decisions
Advise and influence management level business partners in compensation strategy, programs and issues
Plan, organize, and manage incentive plan design projects ensuring efficient and effective utilization of resources in addition to serving as compensation subject matter expert
Develop compensation strategies, market pricing, employee base pay and incentive plan communications
Manage core compensation processes (i.e. forecasting, market studies, incentive design/funding/allocation) - plan, build and successfully execute
Build strong relationships with line of business and key control partners to drive a sustainable compensation review process and facilitate problem solving to ensure objectives are being met
Compile, create, and summarize/analyze information (including survey results, market data, etc.) clearly and concisely to guide fact-based decisions
Proactively monitor, track and evaluate effectiveness of various compensation programs
Bachelor’s degree required
10+ years prior compensation experience with focus on project management, base pay and incentive plan design as well as core compensation processes
Strong advisory and influencing skills at the management level – ability to build and manage relationships and set clear expectations with key business partners
Strong project management experience – ability to navigate across business units in a large organization
Strong analytical and problem solving skills – ability to manage day to day assignments as well as large strategic initiatives
Ability to understand and summarize data, and provide recommendations to management
Strong presentation skills – ability to deliver information in a clear and concise manner
Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience with global compensation strongly preferred
CCP and/or GRP desired
