About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM’s continued growth in National and International water markets presents an opportunity for a highly-motivated, business development professional to join our Water Business Line Growth, Strategy, and Sales team. We are looking for a Seasoned Capture Manager to help strategize, position for, and win major water and wastewater projects and programs as well as expand into new markets and service offerings.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Facilitates and leads win (capture) strategy process for the most business changing, strategic pursuits
Responsibilities include performing the client account analyses, competition analyses, win theme development, identification and verification of challenges/solutions/benefits, client management activities, pre-positioning strategy development and driving the overall win strategy
Partners with national, regional and area leadership to establish the core pursuit 'win' team (in collaboration with technical pursuit leader) to ensure appropriate staff and specialists are engaged
Manages and drives proposal and presentation strategies including overseeing content development, review teams and maintains highest level of quality standards and procedures
Assists with training of marketing and technical staff on marketing and business development 'best' practices, including the new “Winning Edge” strategic growth and sales process
Ensures that overall budget, schedules and performance standards are realistically set and attained
Coaches and facilitates presentation planning and team preparation
Recognized by internal and external associates for high-level expertise
Applies and/or develops highly advanced principles and concepts
Develops forecasts and advises on future internal and external needs for pursuit related work, including strategy, proposal and presentation development
Works with the NA Strategy team to develop and coordinate the execution of specific strategies for markets, service offerings, and/or geographies
10+ years of progressive experience in the water, wastewater, transmission, collection and distribution and water resources industry
Strong leadership and collaboration abilities
Strong listening and verbal communication skills
Strong writing/editing and presentation skills
Ability to create strong message delivery through visual images
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload
Strong conflict management skills
Strong knowledge of marketing/ branding/ communications concepts
