Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Hydro Vac Operator to be based in our Virden, Manitoba location.

Position Summary:

  • Operating fluid haul oilfield equipment including loading and unloading liquid products;

  • Transporting sludge/slurry, mud.

  • Performing pre and post trip inspection, keep record of logs, paperwork;

  • Maintaining all tools and equipment to the required standards;

  • Driving safely and professionally, obeying all traffic rules at all times;

  • Participating fully in job observations, near miss and HID reporting, site inspections, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings;

  • Identifying and mitigating safety hazards

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner

  • Ability to work unsupervised

  • Meet established timeline (e.g. work with dispatch)

  • Make critical decisions (e.g. regarding exposure to H2S, equipment limits)

  • Carry out detailed procedures (e.g. set of steps to follow

  • Meet safety standards and AECOM Core Values

  • Interact with other operators/supervisors

  • Maintain all AECOM tools and equipment to the required standards

  • Drive safely and professionally, obeying all traffic rules at all times

  • Participate fully in such things as job observations, near miss and HID reporting, site inspections, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid Class 1/A or 3/Q driver’s license or equivalent is required;

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Air break endorsement is required for drivers who operate vehicles equipped with air brakes;

  • Successfully completion of AECOM Alcohol & Drug testing;

  • Clean driver's abstract required; and

  • Ground Disturbance

  • First Aid Certification required

This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory drivers abstract for review.
