Job Summary

AECOM is now hiring a qualified Aircraft Life Support Equipment Mechanic to support ongoing U.S. Army maintenance operations at Camp Humphreys, Korea.

This position performs Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) maintenance in support of activities assigned aircraft, and staff/student flight designated personnel. Workload Description Aviation Life Support Equipment technician maintains, services, repairs aircraft survival experience to manage an ALSE program.equipment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Manages, performs, and schedules inspections, maintenance, and adjustments of assigned aircrew flight equipment (AFE), associated supplies, and inventories assets.

  2. Inspects, maintains, packs and adjusts aircrew flight equipment such as flight helmets, oxygen masks, parachutes, flotation devices, survival kits, helmet mounted devices, aircrew night vision and other ocular systems, anti-G garments, aircrew eye and respiratory protective equipment, chemical biological protective oxygen masks and coveralls, and other types of AFE and aircrew chemical defense systems.

  3. Repairs fabric and rubber components, including protective clothing, thermal radiation carriers, flotation equipment, and various parachutes.

  4. Evaluates problems and determines feasibility of repair or replacement related to inspecting and repairing fabric, rubber equipment, and parachutes.

  5. Evaluates work orders for fabrication of authorized items.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred and three (3) years of job related experience required.

  • Technicians must have sufficient ALSE experience to manage an ALSE program.

  • Must have a valid minimum of a NACI clearance on file in JPAS.

  • Knowledge of applicable technical orders, related publications and safety regulations is required.

  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance and may be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration.

  • Position may require travel.
