Job Summary

Our growing team Environmental Services currently has an exciting vacancy for an experienced EHS & Sustainability management consultant to work on various projects. Our new colleague will be based in our office based in The Hague. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic team which undertakes a wide variety of projects for mainly international private sector clients based in the Netherlands and abroad. These projects involve, but are not limited to environmental and Due Diligence auditing, Seveso/ BRZO, permitting, resilience, soil and groundwater, analyse, assess and apply the appropriate and actual Dutch environmental legislations. As consultant:

  • You act as a Project Manager being responsible for the operational, technical and financial management of your projects;

  • You are involved in Compliance and Due Diligence audits and Permitting procedures;

  • You analyze environmental data and write reports;

  • You communicate with governmental organizations on behalf of your clients;

  • You establish and maintain long term client relationships by delivering top-quality projects and cross-selling of other AECOM services;

  • You are a team player who’s keen to help our Dutch team develop and grow;

  • You report directly to your Team Leader;

Minimum Requirements

  • Master or BSc degree in Bio Engineering or another technical, environmental or chemical field of study.

  • Has worked minimum 10 years in a similar role within the environmental consultancy and has proven experience in acquisition of new projects.

  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and (client) communication skills

  • Willingness to travel frequently within mainly the Netherlands and occasionally abroad to meet the needs of specific projects.

  • Demonstrated excellent analytical and report writing skills.

  • Has excellent knowledge of current date Dutch EHS legislation Native Dutch speaking and has fluent English language skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Has obtained or is in training for a degree in HVK, prevention advisor and/or as environmental coordinator.

  • Is experienced in Seveso / BRZO consultancy.

  • Is experienced in soil & groundwater surveys and remediation projects.

  • Is an expert in one or more environmental topics.
