Job Summary

The Aviation Group of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly motivated graduate civil engineer for immediate employment with the AECOM Tampa office. The civil engineer will beinvolved with airport planning,designs, and construction of airport civil design projects. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-established aviation engineering team.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop construction plans, specifications, calculate quantities, and provide engineering support for the development of airport improvement projects, in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Advisory Circulars, Florida Department of Transportation and other local regulatory agencies

  • Perform field visits to obtain data and coordinate with sub-consultants and aviation industry clients.

  • Any other duties assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or other related fields

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software

  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)

  • Understanding of engineering principals

  • 2 plus years experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)

  • Previous engineering and construction experience
