Job Summary

AECOM’s Transmission & Distribution business in Australia is seeking to expand its experienced team in Sydney. We are looking for a Senior / Principal Technical Officer who has a passion for technical excellence and enjoys the challenge of leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary power distribution and transmission projects.

You will be responsible to lead a small team of transmission and distribution Technical Officers and to provide the appropriate business development, technical support and deliver quality project outcomes on time and budget delivery. The individual will be required to build collaborative relationships to support the Distribution and Transmission Team for the many internal and external key stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be actively involved in an innovative and highly motivated team of energy professionals currently delivering landmark distribution and transmission projects throughout Australia. A sample of our current projects include:

  • Major Sydney CBD Infrastructure Projects

  • Power Authority Projects

  • Key Australian Renewable Solar Projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 10 years of experience combined with experience managing the documentation of large and complex projects

  • Excellent CAD skills, least 15 years of experience in AutoCAD and Microstation

  • Good understanding of the power/energy/electrical industry

  • Leadership experience would be ideal, but not mandatory

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
