Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Rolling Stock Engineer to join our rail team in Sydney working on a variety of rail projects predominantly for our NSW clients but occasionally assisting other states and regions.

As a Rail Expert with the world's #1 ranked engineering design firm, you will be exposed to a range of projects and stakeholders providing you with an opportunity to apply your experience on major to mega rail projects.Current and recent projects include light rail, metro, passenger rail, freight and high speed rail.You will work efficiently in an autonomous environment as well as contributing as part of the wider Civil and Infrastructure and AECOM team.

About You

As a Principal Rolling Stock Engineer you willmaintain and further develop professional and technical skills to the highest level on all projects. You will also support the development and training of leading edge technical skills and understand how to practically apply them in ways that add value to AECOM and its clients. You will be responsible for developing a network of local rolling stock clients, supporting national initiatives and supporting associated work streams in proposals and project delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Appropriate technical qualification, preferably in Mechanical Engineering

  • Relevant post graduate qualifications

  • 15 years relevant experience

  • Demonstrated network of local contacts in rolling stock sector

  • Recently published or presented paper(s) in a relevant technical area would be highly regarded

  • Experience in asset management, maintenance, condition monitoring, railway technology well regarded

Preferred Qualifications

  • Appropriate technical qualification, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
