About the Business Line
We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design.
Located in our state of the art offices in Sydney CBD, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a well-experienced Associate Director Mechanical / Electrical to join our Buildings and Places team in Sydney.

As an Associate Director, you will contribute to the sales, profitability and management of projects and our people.
You will bring strong business, commercial and technical skills. Through these means you will differentiate AECOM in the marketplace and deliver on our people, client, excellence and financial goals, whilst managing any associated risks. This role is client facing with a focus on developing client relationships and winning work to a broad range of clients and industry sectors (including Commercial, Retail, Health and Defence) within NSW.
In this role, you will provide leadership to professional and technical staff on complex projects that deliver high standard outcomes for AECOM clients. This senior role will provide mentoring and career development for team members.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
• Design, project management and cost management in building services related to your discipline of expertise
• Develop new customer relationships and maintaining connections with existing clients
• Ensure that projects acquired are adequately resourced and delivered on time and on budget to the client
Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification
15+ years’ experience in the building services engineering field
Candidates with CPEng status and membership of IEAust will be favoured
Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams
Ability to deliver excellent service to the client in all aspects of a project life cycle
