Position Title Principal Engineer

You will be joining our Civil and Structural Engineering team at our AECOM Rail Centre of Excellence in Swindon where we work on a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller improvement works to projects of national importance like high speed rail. We are looking for ambitious experienced engineers who are keen to further develop their careers at one of the world’s leading design consultancies.
As a Principal Engineer you will be responsible for managing project success and leading teams involved with the design of railway infrastructure such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls and stations. In addition to the core civil's work we also support multi-discipline designs from other departments within Rail.
BEng (Hons)/MEng (Hons) Civil Engineering or similar relevant
Professionally Qualified Chartered (CEng) Engineer
Seven years industry experience
The ability to develop and manage the work of others
Good understanding of civil/structural engineering principles
Great team skills and people management
Strong business development and client relationship skills
Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
Sound understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience within the Rail Industry and understanding of Network Rail Codes and Standards
Already fulfilling the role of Civil Engineering CRE and signing off designs
