Job Summary

An opportunity exists for two individuals to join our site based team in support of a major programme of work for the MoD.

AECOM is currently negotiating the next phase of the UK DIO contract and, once the negotiations have been completed, we will be looking for staff to fill a large number of interesting and challenging roles. It is anticipated that we will be recruiting for several staff for the roles. The roles will be across three locations so there will be some flexibility and in some cases there might well be a chance to work from home for part of the week. The approximate start and end dates is still to be confirmed, but we are looking for a mixture or full time employee’s and fix term contracts(6-18 months)

Single Living Accommodation Business Architect

An opportunity exists for an individual to join our site based team in support of a major programme of work for the MoD.

There is a need to create and implement a Single Living Accommodation booking and management tool to enable more efficient and controlled asset use along with management information (MI) to support business planning. This role will Support the DIO PM in the ongoing roll out of this project, while at the same time transferring project support skills to the client as a transition into business as usual operations. Previous experience working in the defence market is not a pre-requisite in the vast majority of cases.

Security Clearance will be required, so you will currently possess or be willing to go through the process of securing.

Minimum Requirements

  • Typical activities :

  • Preparing project board / steering group papers

  • Preparing sublet briefing packs

  • Maintaining RAID, change log, decisions log, actions log

  • Updating project plans

  • Documenting and following up on actions on behalf of the client

  • Preparing data for monthly financial forecast (using existing models)

  • Liaising with comms team on deployment of comms

  • Advising and guiding client on project management best practice

  • Organising / minuting / hosting meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in MS Project (advanced), Excel (proficient to advanced), Visio (proficient), Powerpoint (proficient), Word (proficient), One pager pro (proficient; add-in for MS Project)

  • Good knowledge of project governance, including RAID, Change Control

  • Prince 2 foundation (practitioner preferred)
