Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our Stockton-on-Tees office.

We are growing our capabilities across the wide spectrum of sectors to which we supply engineering services to. These sectors include Chemical, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Energy, Metals and Environmental and this is an interesting and challenging business where staff will be involved in a variety of projects across many industrial sectors.

You will undertake relevant engineering design and support activities, as a senior member of the team, you will be expected to display leadership qualities and assist in mentoring other engineers within the business and will have direct contact with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare contract documents, including drawings and specifications, I/O lists, instrument data sheets and specifications

• Provide conceptual and/or detailed engineering of process instrumentation and control systems.

• Assist other designers in development of process monitoring and control strategies including the preparation of P&IDs, Process Control Narratives, and hardware and software design specifications

• Provide SCADA, Control Systems and Network design,

• Prepare contract documents, including drawings and specifications, I/O lists, instrument data sheets and specifications

• Coordinate with Engineers, Designers, other CAD staff, Project Managers and others as required

• Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with AECOM QA/QC programs

• Ensure that project needs are met in an effective and timely manner

• Work within a multi-discipline team to design, develop and implement efficient and reliable SCADA/Control Systems

• Resolve site queries, attend site meetings and perform site inspections during the construction phase of projects

• Work with Department and Project Managers and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledgeable of process automation, instrumentation, electrical schematics, PLC platforms, communication protocols, SCADA systems and their integration with information management systems

• Demonstrable experience in an applicable industrial sector,

• A working knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, processes and procedures.

• A full driving licence and a willingness to travel will be required for the role.

Preferred Qualifications

Educated to bachelor level or above in applicable subject
