The purpose of the role is as follows;
• Assist in delivering of the MEP services design drawings and Calculations and new installation projects to programme, budget and specification, working within multidiscipline team
• Assist in undertaking projects from inception through to final deliverables be responsible for interacting with the the project team, work specifications and CAD drawings and models, value engineering, supervision of junior staff .
• Assist in developing creative engineering designs across teams to achieve Client’s aspirations
• Communicate and co-ordinate works with other disciplines and Contractors
The Technician will be able to work from Client Concepts providing MEP and MEICA designs for review by senior Engineers, achieving Co-Ordinated 2D and 3D outputs and integrate and develop engineering solutions with large project teams of varying disciplines. Being familiar with Virtual Team Working, comfortable with working in a multi-platform communications environment,
The technician will responsible for preparing drawings for FEED Preliminary and Detailed line and level Designs. Working on both new build and refurbishment projects, you will need to have a sound background using AutoCAD, 2D and some 3D Revit MEP , although any experience of 3D design or modelling would be advantageous.
Ideally Degree Qualified or working currently on a degree course,. Or Engtech, HND HNC level with between 4-7 years practical experience across sites and demonstrable experience in a Contractors or Consultants main design office, looking to work in a Global Consulting Environment and complete professional qualifications and registration with potential to move into the Engineering stream.
