We provide cost and project management services, and specialist consultancy services, to public- and private-sector clients around the world, with a strong presence in Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.
AECOM is recruiting for a Proposals Manager, to work with our Buildings + Places London Business Units in the preparation and production of bids and proposals, including: Expressions of Interest, Statements of Qualifications and Capability, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and Tenders & Fee Proposals. The role is to be based in St. Albans.
Normal duties will include:
The development, preparation and production of winning bids, proposals and submission documents, often managing multiple bids at any one time
Assisting in the preparation of major bids and proposals particularly with regard to content collation, graphics preparation, print production and delivery/dispatch
Managing submissions via client e-procurement sites including downloading enquiry documents, checking for clarifications and uploading queries as well as the final submission
Liaising with colleagues across the UK, EMIA and globally for cross country and/or cross discipline bids
Ensuring all appropriate bid governance procedures (Go/No-Go, legal and commercial review, tender boards, etc.) are completed
Ensuring all appropriate stages of the bid management process (planning, preparation, reviewing, refining and finishing) are completed
Planning and leading bid development workshops for the creation of win themes, messaging, programme outlines, answer-planning and story-boarding
Providing and/or obtaining creative writing input to bids and maintaining overall control of editorial content, including liaison with project teams as necessary to develop engaging and compelling client-facing messages
The continuous improvement and raising of proposal document standards in terms of visual image, style and content
The preparation of presentations (including general, sector and project specific), placemats and interview packs for post tender interviews #LI-LM1
1. Information Management – Proposals
Ensuring best-in-class and exemplar proposals and proposals information is identified and captured to our central repository systems
Helping to maintain effective control over the quality and accuracy of FAQs and bid-related Q&As
Maintaining effective control over the detail, quality and validity of all policies, procedures and certificates as aligned to proposals
Assisting with the capture, uploading and updating of project data and the creation of new project case study sheets as required. This will include identifying, obtaining, selecting and/or creating suitable high quality graphics and imagery
2. Management Support and Administration
Supporting our input to the central development of both MSWord and InDesign based templates for proposals, capability statements, et al, including standard information page layouts for CVs, case studies and experience sheets
Assisting and supporting our input to the central development of PowerPoint templates (including content on a kit-of-parts basis) for interviews and presentations, covering standard company information, business line overviews, exemplar project experience (both for sectors and business lines), et al
Inputting to the central development of proposals related applications and systems including Salesforce, bid library (Work Winning Hub), image library, CVs database, et al
Ideally possess a Degree in Marketing or a related discipline
5 years proven experience in Bids and Tender writing.
