Position Title BAS Operator/Controls Technici

AECOM has an opportunity for a
BAS Operator/Controls Technician to support our program in Springfield, VA. The selected candidate operates Building Automation System and performs maintenance and repair of building controls and automation systems. The Technician will diagnose control system concerns and ensure occupancy comfort; troubleshoot local controllers, communication wiring, programs, and schedules; ensure proper set-points, schedules, and sequences of operation are correctly programmed; perform preventative maintenance tasks such as point to point checkout, sensor calibration, and software back-up; work to ensure overall occupancy comfort is achieved while keeping focused on energy management and be able to recognize and identify opportunities to conserve building energy as it relates to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems; be comfortable interacting with the building occupants in person as well as over the phone; respond to emergency situations site wide, performing any and all tasks necessary for the protection of property and personnel; and perform other job related work as required.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS security clearance.
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
Certification as a building automation system operator (Siemens APOGEE; BACnet; or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of experience in building controls and automation.
Ability to use control technician hand tools and measuring and testing instruments
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) as well as knowledge using a laptop and stationary computer to operate the building automation system
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Active, fully adjudicated TS/SCI w/poly is preferred.
