Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented PM/CM Higher Education project accountant for immediate employment in the Southfield, MI office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Construction management and monitoring responsibilities on complex education renovation programs

  • Strength in assisting program and project scheduling, cost management and risk management initiatives internally to our team and externally to the client’s team

  • Review and process contractors’ billings in accordance with contractual requirements of percent complete

  • Initiate documents to issue contracts, changes orders and maintain applicable logs

  • Create and build client relationships while sponsoring interaction to obtain future projects

  • Develop and maintain networks of contacts within the industry

  • Represent the firm at community functions and throughout the bid process

  • Partner with management to resolve problem areas in project delivery

  • Provide cost reconciliation to owner’s reports

  • Review current costs and project future expenditures

  • Prepare monthly reports to analyze profitability and risks of project

  • Interface with Region Leads, National Market Sector Leads and other business line representatives to put AECOM in the best position to win work

  • Maintain contract and cost records

  • Develops and formulates solutions to client problems/issues

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years related experience

  • Thorough understanding and experience supporting successful project delivery

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of client business practices and goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years' experience preferred
