AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. Job Summary



AECOM is seeking a full-time Program Manager. This position is located at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. Under administrative direction, this position ensures that consistent and high quality program management services are performed and implemented for the Robotic Systems Joint Project Office (RSJPO) and the Robotic Logistics Support Center (RLSC).

Supervise and manage program activities in multiple disciplines covering technical and/or non-technical areas. Such areas include engineering design, development, testing, implementation, operation, and maintenance of diverse integrated electronic and mechanical systems; operations research; asset management, and program documentation.


  • Supervise, coach, and lead work teams in the accomplishment of goals and tasks in support of specific programs.

  • Perform and supervise multi-disciplinary technical and/or non-technical tasks for applicable programs.

  • Interface with customers to determine specific needs and requirements.

  • Develop detailed staffing requirements, assignments and plans to meet customer needs.

  • Estimate personnel needs and schedule/ assign work to meet completion dates.

  • Assist with investigation and resolution of operational problems.

  • Perform management level customer interface, including responsibility for contractual deliverables, development of responses to Requests for Quotes and overall task execution.

  • Develop required technical and management documentation in support of customer technical and programmatic reviews.

  • Provide recommendations to the Government for cost benefit analysis and earned value management for robotic systems and sub-systems as identified by the cross-functional IPT.

  • Identify, prepare, update, and review draft programmatic documentation IAW DoD 5000.2 to assist in the development of Milestone documentation (Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Plan, Test and Evaluation Master Plan [TEMP], Integrated Master Schedule [IMS], and the Systems Engineering Plan [SEP]), and provide to the Government.

  • Develop and maintain a milestone and document tracking/status report on the PEO Knowledge Center (PEO Portal) website to monitor milestone events, documents, dates, action items, key personnel, and program status IAW the IMS for the robotic systems and sub-systems.

  • Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position will require typing and reading from a computer screen. Candidate must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to: bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Work Environment Generally, work is conducted in an inside office environment, but will also involve some outside work depending on the task. The inside environment will be a cubicle in an office with close quarters, low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting. Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Candidate needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of company management. Work site is located at or near Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. Attendance Regular hours will be Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Candidate must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations if the customer mission requires. Candidate must have clear, concise, and accurate communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Minimum Requirements

Experience and Education

  • Four (4) year degree in a related discipline preferred.

  • Seven (7) years of experience in related field preferred.

  • Prior military service preferred.

  • Prior RSJPO experience preferred.

  • Candidate must be familiar and comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office suite software.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.

  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.


Candidate must be willing to travel to and from the customer’s various locations for program requirements and travel may involve airline travel.


Proof of US Citizenship required. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product design and release experience.

  • Experience with manufacturing and process engineering disciplines.

  • Knowledge of design validation testing.

  • Program management experience.

  • Management of cost/schedule/performance for rapid development programs.

  • Ability to conduct make/buy analysis.

  • Knowledge of Army maintenance processes.

  • Industry product development experience.

  • Experience with Systems Integration.

  • PMP certification.

  • Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Process.

  • Active Secret Clearance is preferred.
