About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a creative, highly talented Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in the Seattle, Washington office. The person in this position will independently manage project budgets, schedule, and product quality, as well as act as client liaison, and oversee assigned project staff on a variety of projects related to civil works.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Manages the full life cycle of a project and ensures the project is completed successfully from beginning to end (i.e. initiation, planning and designing, execution, monitoring and controlling, and completion of the project), aligning with AECOM’s business strategy, goals and vision
Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates scopes of work and fees, and executes project
Maintains and builds a positive client relationship as well as being the primary point of contact with the client
Identifies and commits appropriate company resources to accomplish project goals
Controls overall project cost and scope, schedule, quality of work, and project controls
Makes decisions concerning approved expenditures to meet project budget
Ensures all standards and requirements are met in the area of health and safety by reviewing, communicating and managing project health and safety plans so that project personnel, client and subcontractors are aware of risks, hazards and accidents are prevented
Mentors and develops staff, providing leadership and an environment which encourages teamwork, initiative and growth
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
10+ Strategic Planning, Program & Project Management and Engineering & Design
Qualified applicants will have a strong background in Value Engineering Programs
Possess the ability to manage a project scope within an assigned budget
Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal skills
Ability to work independently with clients and manage project assignments
Experience with Water Resources projects including Dams, levees and flood control structures
Keen understanding of federal infrastructure, procedures and policies including USACE and USBR
Professional Engineer (PE) licensed
Master’s degree in related field
Marketing engineering services
15+ years of experience
