Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Deputy Program Manager, Pacific Healthcare Operations for immediate employment for the Seattle, WA office supporting healthcare in the PNW and CA. The Deputy Program Manager assists the VP of Pacific Healthcare Operations with the day-to-day operations of the Pacific Healthcare Program.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Oversee and lead numerous tasks to include: accounting, program controls, technology, contracts, construction, design review, risk/quality, communications, asset mgmt., closeout, commissioning and warranties

  • Manage, oversee, and coordinate all aspects of large, complex and/or critical healthcare and research programs/initiatives including, but not limited to: operations planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring and controlling costs, cash flow, risk, quality, project close-out, qualifying potential business solutions, and operational review of proposals, execution of professional services and construction procurements, internal and external audits

  • Responsible for review of contracts, supervision of labor and subcontractors; planning and scheduling of installations mindful of customers timelines and milestones, review of invoices, and payments. Leverages technology to design processes that ensure compliance with CA Hospital/ OSHPD requirements

  • Develop and implement operations and strategies that improve execution and provide additional value in a cost effective manner. Develops policies and procedures relating to customers specific programs and systems. Utilizes financial systems to review actual versus estimated cost and to provide timely and accurate financial reports. Provides weekly accurate updates across program to the VP of Pacific Healthcare Operations

  • Identify potential project risks and develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines. Evaluates current systems for cost reduction and product improvement for high complex systems

  • Overall responsibility for customer satisfaction on all installed accounts. Regularly meets with customers to ensure that we are providing quality installations and meeting their individual needs. Conducts follow-up reviews of solutions to verify that desired objectives were accomplished effectively and efficiently

Minimum Requirements

  • Professional Registration and/or Certification, degree preferred in construction management, architecture or engineering but not required

  • 10+ years’ experience. CA healthcare experience and knowledge required.

  • Have knowledge and understanding of operational ties between the occupied hospital environment and the interfacing of new construction to maintain the needed hospital environment

  • Construction management skills understanding all disciplines during the design, preconstruction, construction and close-out phases

  • Familiar with all aspects of design and construction programs including contracts, accounting, safety, risk and quality management programs

  • Experience with OSHPD and CA Title 24 Code

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Excellent management skills related to Project Management and Contracts

  • Broad based professional knowledge of all aspects of design and construction

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Advanced financial skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong work ethic with the "team player" mindset

  • Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide others within the organization

  • Logically breaks down problems and looks for solutions
