Job Summary

The AECOM Seattle office seeks an Architect to join our team to work on aviation and commercial facility design projects from inception to completion. The Architect will work closely with senior architects and engineers on all aspects of a project, including programming, space planning, code compliance, architectural design, presentation materials, finish and furnishings selection, construction document preparation, product specification preparation, shop drawing reviews, and construction administration.

Your ability to work as a team member in moving design concepts from ideas to 3D design and 2D construction documents while integrating multi-disciplinary building systems into consolidated final construction documents will advance your career as an architect and collaborator with other designers, as well as owners and contractors.

This position is an opportunity to advance your career by gaining experience that prepares graduate architects to take the architectural licensing exams, solve complex building type challenges, and/or achieve other career goals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field

  • 5+ years of experience with aviation, transportation, or commercial building design projects that have progressed from schematic through final design documents

  • Must have ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications.

  • Must have ability to create, apply, manage, and coordinate AutoCAD and Revit standards for project assignments with internal and external team member

  • Excellent communication, people, and organizational skills

  • Expert software and computer skills , including: AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), and the Microsoft Professional Office Suite software (excel, word, project, and power point)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to contribute to the development of Revit standards,/templates for current and future projects

  • Ability to work independently in advancing work assignments while coordinating a multi-disciplinary design team
