Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Deputy Project Manager for immediate employment for the Seattle, WA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Organize, edit, and prepare the production of contract documents and specifications for engineering and architectural projects

  • Technical editing of planning and design reports

  • Serve as Deputy Project Manager for numerous project types in a contract specialist role

  • Contract financial administration including preparation of budget reports and invoice oversight

  • Plan, organize, and work with a staff of professionals and technicians, including subconsultants

  • Organize and conduct internal and external meetings

  • Provide technical guidance to his/her project staff

  • Effectively apply leadership and delegation skills in a working team environment

  • Provide guidance and direction to junior staff members

  • Review and provide QA/QC

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in appropriate discipline

  • 3+ years of experience with related planning, engineering and architectural projects

  • The successful candidate will have an understanding of project management principles and able to:

  • Complete AECOM Project Management courses and achieve PM credentials ASAP

  • Learn AECOM’s financial and project tracking system (ePM)

  • Ability to Work with minimal direct supervision and within a team environment

  • Good communications skills

  • Experience with accounting software systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the technological advances in project delivery

  • Prior experience working in and A&E environment

  • 5+ years' experience preferred
