Job Summary

FT Services has been aquired by AECOM, a premier, fully intergrated infrastructure firm. We are currently posting and Expression of Interest for a Site Manager, Maintenance to be based in Sarnia.

Reporting to the GM Operations your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide strategic direction and overall management of all activities within Client contract

  • Ensure alignment, consistent approach and support are being provided to all facets of the operations team

  • Initiate appropriate systems to set, monitor and continuously improve standards for procedures and service, while providing a work environment and systems of work that secure the health safety and welfare at work of employees

  • Steward and ensure compliance with FT Services and contract specific quality assurance and safety programs while promoting a continuous improvement philosophy

  • Ensure quality system audits and compliance are administered and adhered to on an ongoing and regular basis

  • Understand and steward all aspects of the FT Services/Client contract

  • Develop and implement a seamless best practice operations and reliability solution for the FT Services operations at Client site, integrating where appropriate all Client and FT Services personnel and processes

  • Development of a pro-active reliability based, operations execution reporting system on an area by area and plant by plant basis that provides management with clear and advanced/timely information to enable appropriate management intervention and direction

  • Develop a center of excellence for preventative operations practices and reliability based engineering that encompasses all Client organizations

  • Foster strong business partnerships between the FT Services Client leadership team and all facets of the FTS corporate support organization

  • Recognize and execute issue escalation and resolution practices at appropriate times and to appropriate levels

  • Develop and steward the year on year budget preparation, monitoring and execution of both Client and FTS budget cycles

Minimum Requirements

  • 15+ years of operations and contract management with a relatively uniform mix of planning, cost control, operations procedure within an upstream / pipeline / construction environment

  • Previous managerial experience in a similar operations environment is preferred

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related operations environment, or equivalent.

  • Refinery experience is essential

  • Extensive knowledge of industrial site operations, contract management, performance measurement, and cost controls

  • Strong ability to lead high performance teams

  • Skilled communicator and ability to build strong relationships through delivery of performance metrics and continuous improvement processes

  • A detailed understanding of Operations Management systems and practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant Post-Secondary education (college or university) is required, such as a related vocational or technical school program/diploma

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred

  • P. Eng is an asset
