Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Geologist for immediate employment in the Santa Barbara, CA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist project team in planning and implementing a large CERLA remediation project

  • Perform Project Management duties including managing budgets, proposals, scopes of work, schedules, health &safety, and staff

  • Prepare technical work plans and reports

  • Provide technical expertise support

  • Prepare data analysis and presentation for technical meetings with the client and regulators. Inclusive of complex hydrogeological analysis, geochemical and contaminant analysis

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology or hydrogeology

  • Professional certification

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Knowledge of CERLA regulations

  • Superior technical report writing skills

  • Good communicator

  • Behavior-base safety conscious

  • Detailed-oriented

  • Team player

  • US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of monitoring natural attenuation processes

  • Direct experience with large CERLA projects
