About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Geologist for immediate employment for the Santa Barbara, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Assist with task management for a broad range of environmental assessment and remediation projects
Conduct environmental field investigations involving soil, surface water and groundwater media
Supervise subcontractors in the field
Prepare work plans and reports
Assist in remediation projects
Implement work plans and health & safety plans
Support the growing modeling and statistical analysis team
Bachelor's Degree in geology or hydrogeology
2+ years' experience
Fully competent in a variety of field investigation methods
Ability to read, write and understand technical documents including investigation work plans and remedial action plans
Behavior-based safety conscious
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be detailed-oriented, thorough, well organized and effective time management
Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy; willing to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Master's Degree a plus
Data Analysis/Statistical Analysis
Experienced in Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator and Photoshop
Skilled and experience in hydrogeology and chemistry
